NME Annotated Cover

• Masthead at in the top left corner that reads 'NME'.
• Different font size for emphasis. Example of this is along the top of the magazine.
• There are 2 examples of pull quotes/ lures along the right side of the magazine.
• The house style is red & white.

Along the top strip of the magazine there are names of music bands in white medium sized text. In between the bands name the word 'Vs' is between them in small red text. Below that is a sentence in the same sized red text but bold which could be to emphasise the message they wanted to communicate.

Next in the visual syntax is the NME Logo that is red  and the text is bold which would help to get the readers attention. Next thing that the reader will be drawn to is Winehouse's eyes. In the middle of the cover is a medium close up image of Winehouse. the image is taken in a studio and the backdrop used was small dark polka dots. Down the right side of the magazine there is 4 cover articles that stick to the house theme of red and white.
